Time Team's Phil Harding opens Novium Museum

Winners from an Observer competition were this morning (Saturday, July 7) among the first to see the new facilities, which include its centrepiece Roman baths.

They had the chance to quiz the history expert on his filming and to join him in exploring the new venue in Tower Street, which opens tomorrow.

Enthusing about the facilities, Phil said: “I think it’s a wonderful museum and should be a place that’s appealing to everyone, from history specialists and scholar and for the people who live in the city.”
