The report that followed praised the nursery with an overall outcome of ‘Good’ with elements that were ‘Outstanding’.

The inspector was positive about the nursery, the practitioners and made observations about how the children were playing in both the baby room and the pre-school room. Ofsted said “The staff have a good impact of the children’s learning and progress , this is because they are knowledgeable about the children’s expected level of development” and “Babies explore their environment using treasure baskets and lots of soft play equipment, they chuckle heartily as they play peek a boo with staff”

The inspector also commented that “Staff are effective in providing a well-resourced welcoming environment which encourages learning” and “The manager seeks views from parents and children as well as from working partners to help identify challenges for the nursery to improve”

The report said children are happy and settled because they have good relationships with the caring, sensitive staff and observed staff use good procedures to engage parents in their children’s learning.
