MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, Tim Loughton, has been re-selected as the official Conservative candidate for the constituency at the next general election in 2015.
Mr Loughton has held his seat since 1997 with this being his fifth campaign.
Mr Loughton said: “‘I am delighted and honoured to have been reselected to represent the Conservative Party as your candidate at the next election. My enthusiasm for the job has not diminished over the last 16 and a half years and it has always been a privilege to represent the 90,000 plus residents of this area, both at Westminster and locally.”
Julie Searle, chair of the East Worthing and Shoreham Conservatives Association said she was delighted that Mr Loughton would be standing again and added that many local people had benefitted from his hard work.
