Town centre road reopened
Police said they were called at 9.20am on Tuesday (March 28) following reports that masonry had fallen from a building in Chapel Road, Worthing.
Officers closed the road while colleagues from the fire service attended, a police spokesman said.

Hide AdA spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “We received a call at 9.20am of masonry falling from a shop front in Worthing town centre.
“The shop involved is Peacocks located in Chapel Road.
“One pump was sent to the scene.”
An elderly woman was reported to have walked under the window just before the masonry fell.
Police at the scene say no reports of injuries have been received.
Peacocks is still roped off.
