The new walks are a Walk-and-Talk for bereaved people in the area, in partnership with St. Michael’s Hospice, a healthy walk in the Combe Valley, and a short local 30 minute walk.

Healthy Walks are part of the nationwide Walking for Health scheme which aims to get people healthier and happier by providing free, short and easy led walks.

A free walk leader training day will be held on Monday February 22 at the Tesco community meeting room in St. Leonards from 9.30am – 4.00pm.

Walk leader Paula Hubens said: “No previous experience is required, just a friendly nature and the availability to help lead an existing or a new walk on a regular basis.

“The walks take place Monday to Saturday. “

To find out more about becoming a health walk leader or to book a place on the training, please contact Paula Hubens, TCV Healthy Walks Project Officer on 07740 899559 or e-mail [email protected].
