Bognor car park to close for eight to nine weeks

Arun District Council confirmed the car park at Bersted Brooks will close from September 3 for ‘approximately eight to nine weeks’ for surfacing improvements and drainage works to ‘enhance the condition of the car park’.

There will be no access to the car park during this time, the council confirmed.

A spokesperson for Arun District Council added: “In preparation for the works, vegetation clearance has been undertaken to provide access for the contractors and to facilitate the drainage works.

"Work is also planned to clean and unblock water drainage pipes by removing built-up mud and sediment.

“In addition, separate works are planned elsewhere within Bersted Brooks to replace a culvert and undertake desilting works.”
