Busy road closed for sewage works and fallen tree causing congestion - Sussex travel for Tuesday, August 4

A busy road closed both ways for sewage works and a fallen tree are the main talking points on the roads in Sussex this morning (August 4).

Part of London Road in Hastings has been closed since yesterday, both ways between Tower Road West and Brittany Road, due to sewage works.

Traffic seems to be coping well this morning.

Two other roads in Hastings were also closed for work yesterday - Little Ridge Avenue both ways between Harrow Lane and Hillside Road and St Matthews Road both ways between Rectory Close and Sedlescombe Road South.

There are also reports of a fallen tree affecting traffic both ways on the A275 at Chailey Common Turn-off.

Traffic is reported to be coping well.

There are no other new, or serious incidents, currently ongoing on Sussex's roads as of around 8am this morning.
