Emergency A27 Chichester roadworks spark delays for drivers
Drivers on the A259 in Chichester are experiencing delays this week.
Traffic on the A27 in Chichester is being slowed this week due to emergency roadworks on the eastbound carriageway.
The closure affects the section between the A259 at Chichester West and the A286, where lane one has been shut whilst repair teams carry out essential work.
National Highways reports that the restriction is causing delays of around twenty minutes above normal travel times. The works are expected to remain in place until 5pm on 25 November 2025.
Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for atheir journeys and to consider alternative routes while the repairs are ongoing.
