They were in attendance in Drungewick Lane at 6.20pm.
The small fire was put using a CO2 extinguisher by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS).
The cast-iron stove was inspected by WSFRS using a thermal imaging camera and then dismantled by the engineers.
