Heavy traffic in Storrington as main road to A24 is closed

Works have closed the main road from Storrington to the A24 causing mayhem in the village.

The A283 is shut both ways between Georges Lane and A24 London Road due to electricity works, the AA said.

And traffic is reported as gridlocked in Storrington as a result. Drivers are facing heavy queues as motorists cut round Rock Road in a bid to avoid the closure.

Traffic is said to be heavy around Steyning Grammar School.
