'Inconsiderate drivers' makes Crawley junction 'extremely dangerous', according to resident

Cars parked on double-yellow lines in Crawley are making a junction ‘extremely dangerous, according to one driver.
SussexWorld and the Crawley Observer were contacted by a resident, who did not wish to be named, about the junction of Scallows Close and Crossways in Three Bridges. They said: “Unfortunately, we had a near miss again this morning due to inconsiderate drivers parking over yellow lines and preventing us from exiting the junction in a safe manner. “We live in Crossways, Three Bridges, Crawley more or less opposite Scallows close and trying to exit onto Crossways main road is extremely dangerous.” West Sussex County Council is responsible for double-yellow lines. A spokesperson for the county council said: “The enforcement of on-street waiting restrictions, such as double yellow lines, is undertaken on behalf of West Sussex County Council by the respective District and Borough Councils. In this case, parking on yellow lines at Crossways, Three Bridges would be enforceable by Crawley Borough Council. "We have made the Crawley parking services team aware of the situation at this junction.
“Residents can request enforcement by contacting the team directly via [email protected] or by going on the County Council parking pages - https://www.westsussex.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/parking/report-issues-with-on-street-parking/”
