Major West Sussex road closes after tree falls onto power line
A road in a West Sussex town is closed this morning (Thursday, February 15) after a tree fell onto a power line.
Part of the A283 Washington Road in Storrington is closed both ways between B2139 School Hill and Sullington Lane.
It has been confirmed that fire crews, police and UK Power Networks are at scene.
West Sussex Fire Service said the road will ‘be closed for some time’ and asked people to avoid the area if possible.
