Multi-vehicle A27 crash among three incidents affecting traffic in and out of Chichester

Three separate crashes have been reported in and around Chichester this afternoon (Friday, November 6).

According to traffic reports, the A27 is blocked eastbound between A27 (Emsworth Services) and A259 Cathedral Way (Fishbourne Roundabout). This is said to be affecting inbound traffic for Chichester.

Sussex Roads Police officer Pete May said: "Delays on the A27, between Emsworth and Chichester following a four-vehicle collision. Recovery on scene and road will be open fully very soon. Lane two running."

There is also a partial road closure on A27 Chichester By-Pass at the A259 (Bognor Bridge Roundabout) after a two-vehicle accident.

All approaches to the roundabout are said to be affected but traffic is coping well.

Elsewhere, a car and a bus have reportedly been involved in a collision on A286 Main Road in Birdham.

The road is partly blocked westbound, traffic reports said.
