Petworth road to close for Southern Water works

Byworth Road, outside Lyndon Cottage, is set to close on September 29 to allow Southern Water to undertake a stop-tap replacement.

The road will be closed for 24 hours a day and West Sussex County Council have stated work is expected to be completed on October 1.

The council added Byworth Road will be closed from the junction with the A283 and the junction with Haslingbourne Lane.

A spokesperson for West Sussex County Council said: “An alternative route will be signed on site but please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151236220 for more details.

"Access will be maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians.
