Photos have shown how the sky above Worthing has changed with fewer aircraft.

The lockdown has grounded large swathes of the aviation industry as people are not allowed to go abroad for leisure or work.

Gatwick Airport, near Crawley in West Sussex, has felt the effects acutely, with Virgin Atlantic deciding to cut staff and pull its operations from the airport.

Anthony Farrar sent the following photos to the Worthing Herald from Wadhurst Drive in Goring to show the impact this has had on the sky.

One photo was taken one morning in 2013, showing a web of condensation trails from aircraft, in contrast to clear blue skies photographed just after 7am on Monday.
