Resurfacing works begin on busy Rustington road
Resurfacing works have begun on a busy road in Rustington.
Worthing Road is currently closed on weeknights from 8pm to 5am, West Sussex County Council (WSCC) confirmed.
The closure is in place between the North Lane and Mill Lane roundabouts until July 18.
The works will see the ‘removal of a layer of the carriageway road surface, and then the creation of a new layer of material’, according to One Network.

A diversion is in place via the Rustington Bypass.
A WSCC spokesperson said: “Works to resurface Worthing Road, Rustington between the North Lane and Mill Lane roundabouts are taking place overnight between the hours of 8pm – 5am from 10 July to 18 July, on weeknights only.”
