Road safety improvements to A26 junction - Newhaven
and live on Freeview channel 276
Earlier this month, National Highways revealed how they intend to improve the junction. Planned improvements include reducing the speed limit in certain areas.
Liberal Democrat councillors have campaigned for such safety improvements.

Hide AdLeader of Lewes District Council James MacCleary said: "There have been too many fatal incidents at this junction. The poor design of the junction combined with insufficient maintenance make it incredibly dangerous for motorists and other road users."
Councillor Sean Macleod said: "We launched our campaign because we thought enough was enough. We collected hundreds of petition signatures and handed them to National Highways."
Cllr Macleod added: “Since I have been a local councillor I have worked hard to try and make this junction safer. The plans may not be perfect but they will make this dangerous stretch of road so much safer. This is a real win for local people power."
