This is when the A27 near Eastbourne will be closed overnight for two weeks

The works, which are part of Highways England’s A27 improvement plans, will lead to phased overnight closures starting on March 2 and ending on March 16 from 8pm until 6am each night.

A Highways England spokesperson said some of the improvements include resurfacing works, road-markings and stud replacements.

The roads which will be affected are both carriageways of the A27 between Polegate junction and Cophall Roundabout; both carriageways of the A27 between Cophall Roundabout and Golden Jubilee Roundabout; all of the bus stops adjacent to or in the carriageways mentioned above; the entire circulatory carriageway of Cophall Roundabout and the road connecting to the eastbound carriageway of the A27 from the southbound carriageway of the A22 at Cophall Roundabout

Routes for diverted traffic will be via the A26, A27, A22, A2021, A2270 and A2280.

A Highways spokesperson said the alternative routes will be clearly signposted.
