UPDATE: Life of Horsham man found hanging in church remembered

The life of a Horsham man who was found dead in a town centre church has been remembered during a service this weekend.

Dominic Bell, 47, from Rushams Road, Horsham, was found hanging in St John’s Church, in Springfield Road, on Thursday (January 2), said Sussex Police.

Emergency services, including two ambulances, attended shortly before 7pm.

Mr Bell was declared dead at the scene.

Police are not treating his death as suspicious.

Before the weekend, Father Richard, of St John’s Church, said on Friday (January 3): “Our heartfelt prayers are with the family of Dominic and we will remember him and them at our masses this weekend.”
