UPDATE: Road cleared after four vehicle crash

A road has been cleared after a four vehicle crash this morning (Monday December 7).

Emergency services were called to A23 at around 8.20am after a crash on a northbound carriageway near Henfield.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said one person suffered minor whiplash but no-one was seriously injured.

One lane was blocked due to the collision and queueing traffic caused delays at the Albourne Junction. The congestion stretched to the Henfield turn-off.

The incident has been cleared and the traffic is flowing freely.
