Van crashes on Horsham Road
A VAN loaded with petrol canisters overturned on the A264 Horsham road this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene westbound at B2195 Crawley Road just before 8am.
The driver had merged from one lane to another before catching a tuft of grass and sliding off the road and into a ditch, destroying 15 metres of fencing, say police.
He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved.
A section of one lane was closed while recovery work took place.
An officer at the scene said: “It was important the van was recovered quickly because of the upside-down petrol canisters.”
