Woman seriously injured in Hastings crash

Police are investigating an early morning crash near Hastings which left a woman with serious injuries.

At about 5am on Sunday (May 17) a red Metro saloon car left the road in Pett Level Road, Fairlight, and went through a hedge into a field, police said.

The driver, a 30-year-old woman, was taken to Conquest Hospital in Hastings to be treated for serious back and leg injuries. A police spokesman said her injuries are not thought to be life threatening

Police said a boy aged 15, who was a passenger, in the car was unhurt.
