Turkish delight after TV quiz win

A POLICE community support officer faced one of her toughest challenges yet when she came face to face with Anne Robinson, on TV's The Weakest Link.

Alison Beesley, who is based at Lancing Police Station, didn't let fear get the better of her and won the quiz, scooping prize money of 1,840.

Alison said: "I was really pleased I won. It was nerve-wracking, obviously. Nerves make you forget things you know you know. You give stupid answers. Once your nerves calm down, you are all right. I was quite getting into it by the end."

The show Alison won was actually filmed in March, and shown on Monday, May 22. She said she has put some of her prize-money aside, and some had gone on new carpets and blinds.

"I did go on holiday to Turkey, and I am going to take my daughter to Alton Towers. I have had a few luxuries and a few necessities," said Alison.
