Twin brothers missing - police appeal

Ismail and Isiaka Khalid, aged 14, are believed to have climbed out of a first floor bedroom window at approximately 3.30am on Thursday April 20. They had been placed with a family in the town by social services from an address in Eastbourne.

They had arrived at about 6pm with identical small suitcases and played football in a local park before returning and going to bed. Their carer heard the toilet flush at about 3.15am and when the family got up in the morning the two boys had disappeared.

A police spokesperson said: "Although Ismail and Isiaka speak very good English, they are only 14 years of age and we are anxious to trace them as soon as possible.

"If anyone thinks they have seen the twins then we ask them to contact police as soon as possible on 0845 60 70 999."
