Two fairs will aid children's hospice

FOLLOWING the success of similar events last November, when more than £300 was raised for the Demelza Children's Hospice, organiser Louise Wardle is preparing to stage a brace of craft and gift fairs in Bexhill later this month.

The first will be on St George’s Day, Saturday, April 23, at St Martha’s Church Hall, Cooden Sea Road, Little Common, and the second a week later on Saturday, April 30 at The Mermaid (Sackville Hotel) on De La Warr Parade, Bexhill.

Both will feature a wide range of stalls selling high-quality, handmade crafts, gifts and novelties, including jewellery, handbags, leather goods, candles, soaps, children’s toys, scarves, throws, paintings, ceramics, toys, cakes and more.

Children will be able to enjoy an “arty crafty corner” in which to create their own masterpieces.

Hot and cold refreshments will be served throughout the day.

There will also be a grand charity raffle. Both fairs run from 10am to 4pm.
