Unattended Angmering bonfire out of control

A BONFIRE, lit and left unattended an Angmering field, spread to a hedgerow.

Fire crews from East Preston were called to an area off Water Lane at about 7.55pm yesterday (Sunday, April 18), and spent more than an hour dealing with the blaze.

Three freezers, plastic and other rubbish had been set alight, and the Environment Agency was informed.
