An information event, organised by the University of Brighton, on Tuesday November 4, will share details of the government-funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme and explain how it can help a company innovate and grow.

The scheme, for which the government provides up to 67 per cent funding, enables companies to employ a graduate to lead a project and tap into the knowledge and contacts the university can offer.

“Many business owners want to grow their companies, but do not have the funds or opportunity to do so,” said Cllr Carl Maynard, portfolio holder for regeneration. “KTPs are an excellent way to take the next step and also give a graduate the chance to get some hands on experience.”

Those attending will hear from the managing director of St Leonards-based company, Plastipack. Plastipack and sister company Plastica have run a series of KTP projects over the years.

The KTP event takes place on Tuesday, November 4 at 4.30pm at Priory Square Lecture Theatre, Priory Street, Hastings. Places are limited. To register email [email protected].
