Unwanted clothes donated to charity
Profit raised from the donations of unwanted clothing will be shared between Haven’s chosen charity, BBC Children In Need and The Salvation Army, which supports people who are vulnerable and in need across the UK.
Naomi Woodstock, head of publicity at Haven, said: “As part of our environmental strategy, we were keen to reduce our levels of textile waste and SATCoL offered a partnership we could really engage with. The SATCoL bank gives visitors and staff at Combe Haven Holiday Park an easy way to recycle unwanted clothing and other textile items such as household linens, while helping to raise money for two very worthwhile causes. We have many families who enjoy visiting their caravans at Combe Haven throughout the summer and the opportunity to recycle using the SATCoL bank adds to the sense of community. It’s also helping us to reach our fundraising goal of £300,000 for BBC Children in Need.”
