UPDATE: A27 Fontwell clear after car hits tree
TRAFFIC is moving again on the A27 after a car hit a tree during rush-hour traffic this morning (May 21).
The crash happened at 8am after a car left the road on the westbound carriageway near Fontwell Park racecourse and hit a tree.
“The driver was shaken but unhurt and declined medical treatment,” said a police spokesman.

Hide AdOne lane was closed immediately after the accident but traffic now appears to be flowing normally again.
The crashed car is sticking out into the inside lane with traffic diverted into the outside lane. A driver at the scene said traffic was now flowing normally again.
