UPDATE: Man hospitalised after St Leonards car crash

A man was taken to hospital with leg injuries after a car and a van crashed in St Leonards last night (Thursday, January 14).

A 24-year-old was trapped by his legs in the van after the incident on Lime Close at around 11.45pm.

He was cut from the wreckage by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and treated by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance doctor and paramedics on scene.

He was then taken by South East Coast Ambulance Service to the Conquest Hospital with leg injuries.

Police also attended the incident.
