UPDATE: Man is charged following police chase across Sussex

A MAN has been charged today (Tuesday, October 29) with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle following a police pursuit across West Sussex yesterday.

Clive Richardson, 39, of no fixed abode, appeared in Crawley Magistrates’ Court today charged with seven offences.

These include, burglary and the theft of a motor vehicle, both in Salisbury, Wiltshire, on October 27 and 28 respectively.

He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, assault by beating and driving while disqualified. All of these offences alleged to have happened in Gaugemaster Way at Ford, yesterday.

A 36-year-old woman from Sandown, Isle of Wight, arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling and aggravated vehicle taking, has been bailed until December 17.
