UPDATE: Stabbing took place in Littlehampton home

POLICE have said that a stabbing in Littlehampton on Saturday (January 2) took place in a house.

The 33-year-old victim is recovering from a neck wound, in St Richard's Hospital, after being attacked at about 6.30pm.

A spokesman for Sussex police said: "A local man in his thirties is still detained at hospital, with a serious stab wound to the neck, following an attack in a house in Duke Street.

"The man staggered outside and made his to the doorway of The Globe pub, also in Duke Street, to raise the alarm."

He added that the injuries sustained were not life threatening.

Littlehampton's town centre was cordoned off by police for more than three hours, while forensics officers searched the area.
