Updated: Three people hurt in A27 crash

Three people were hurt - one seriously - in an accident on the A27 this morning (Saturday, April 30).

Emergency services were called to the scene at Selmeston, west of the Drusillas roundabout, after two cars, a Vauxhall Astra and a Dacia, collided just before 11am.

It is reported at this time that there are two people with minor injuries.

The driver of one of the cars was cut out of the vehicle by firefighters and is thought to have suffered serious injuries.

The accident caused serious congestion in the area, with traffic diverted to the A26 and A22.
