Van driver taken to hospital with ‘serious chest injuries’

WITNESSES are being sought to a crash near Arundel yesterday morning (Monday, April 27) which left one man with ‘serious chest injuries’.

Two light goods vans travelling in opposite directions collided in Lyminster Road, the A284, at the junction with the A27 Arundel Road, Crossbush, at 9.40am.

The driver of one of the vans, a 56-year old Portslade man, was taken to Worthing Hospital to be treated for serious chest injuries which were not reported as life threatening, a spokesman for Sussex Police said.

The driver of the other van, a 33-year old man from Southampton, was unhurt.
