The two-year-old male wire-haired German pointer cross is a fun dog and smart, so treats will come in handy while learning.

Tracey Rae, rehoming centre manager, said: “Otty can be unsure around new people so is looking for an adult home without visiting children.

“Once you have built up a bond with him, he is affectionate and likes to interact with you.

Otty would like an enclosed garden and would happily live with another dog but cannot live with cats or small furries.

Travey added: “He travels well in the car and could be left alone for short periods once settled in at home.

“Otty is very playful with his toys. He is happy to play on his own but also likes you to join in at times, too. This would be a fun way to build a bond with him.”
