VIDEO: Flood forum in Littlehampton

FLOODING and the steps householders can take to mitigate its effects were discussed at a forum held in Littlehampton.

Community action groups from some of the areas worst affected by flooding throughout the county came together at the forum, which was held at Manor House on Thursday, Noember 7.

On the day, representatives from the National Flood Forum, the Environment Agency and West Sussex County Council promoted the benefits of joined up working between authorities and community groups to tackle flooding.

The National Flood Forum also unveiled a tool called the Property Protection Advisor, which can show people how at risk their homes are from flooding and what steps they can take to mitigate the problem.
