VIDEO: Helicopter called to Horsham after man falls 20ft from ladder

An emergency services helicopter was called to Horsham today (Wednesday May 18) after a man fell 20ft from a ladder.

Emergency services were called to the incident at the Co-op in Guildford Road, at the site of the old Tanfield garage, at around 11.15am.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said a man in his 20s fell from a ladder and landed on his back.

He was treated at the scene for multiple injuries, including a head injury.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for further checks.

An ambulance and a paramedic car were sent to the scene along with the Air Ambulance, the spokesman added.

A Special Aviation Services helicopter, being used by the Air Ambulance team, landed beside the pond in Merryfield Drive just before midday.

It left the scene at around 1pm.
