More than 40 children from the White Meadows Primary School choir hit all the right notes when they took part in a special show at the O2 arena, in London.

They sang alongside thousands of other children at the concert, which was organised by Young Voices.

Kirsty Porter, music co-ordinator at the primary school, said it was an ‘epic’ and ‘unforgettable’ experience, adding: “It was an extremely long day. We left in the morning and returned at midnight, but it was well worth it!”

The pupils sang 14 songs, including one eight minute-long medley. They were accompanied by former X-Factor finalist and I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star Stacey Soloman.

This was the second time the school has taken part in the concert.

Mrs Porter added: “They worked so hard at rehearsal and in their own time and are a credit to the school. I can’t wait to repeat the experience next year.”

Young Voices is responsible for organising large-scale shows, which sees more than 90,000 children from across the UK taking part.
