VIDEO: Worthing residents and traders react to parking charge reductions
THE decision to slash parking charges in town centre car parks next year has been greeted with joy by traders and businesses figures.
Worthing Borough Council cabinet members last week voted to reduce charges by around 40 per cent when NCP’s much-criticised contract comes to an end in April.
A charge of £1 per hour in High Street, Grafton and Buckingham multi-storey car parks will be trialled for three months, in the hope it will provide a boost for the town centre.
