It is their chance to help shape the management plan for the South Downs National Park which, when completed, will contain policies to ensure iconic landscapes and wildlife are valued and cared for by the people who live, work and visit there, and communities and the local economy thrive.
Although the work is being led by the National Park Authority, the policies will be implemented by many organisations and individuals across the South Downs.

Hide AdAndrew Lee, director of strategy and partnerships for the National Park Authority, said: “This is the first chance that many people will have to see these initial ideas and priorities for the future management of the National Park.
“We are encouraging everyone to take a look at the emerging plan, comment on how relevant the policies are and think about how they might get involved in delivering this work.
“This is a chance to help to shape this work at an early stage in the plan’s development, before we begin to consult formally this summer.”
The first management plan for the South Downs National Park will run from 2014-19.
