Village journey down through ages

VISITORS to Piddinghoe today (Friday) and over the weekend will be treated to a look at the village down the ages.

It will be an expanded version of the 2005 exhibition and will include a new topic, Tracing the History of your House, a history of St John's Church and some new material for each century. Copies of all the church registers and censuses for each decade from 1841-1901 will be on display as well as newspaper extracts from 1761, extracts from Manor Court books and 170 wills.
