VOTE: Knife crime in Worthing
The robbery at 10.10pm on Thursday, May 22, was the latest in a series of knife attacks in the town.

This attack came a week after two men received knife wounds to their hands and faces after robbers attacked them in Victoria Park, on Thursday, May 15 at 10pm.

Hide AdA further three knife attacks were reported to police in other parts of the town during May.
On Monday, May 12, a gang of teenagers threatened a boy at Teville Gate multi-storey car park.
Another gang of teenagers attacked a boy in Goring Road on Friday, May 9.

Government campaign
Today (Thursday, May 29), the government launched its 3million advertising campaign It Doesn't Have to Happen, click here for the website, which tries to show teenagers the consequences of carrying a knife.

Hide AdThis is part of an extra 5million being spent by the Home Office to tackle the knife crime issue.
