Wanted man may have information on Herstmonceux assault

Police want to speak to Herstmonceux man Daniel Clarke, who may have important information about an assault in the village on Thursday, January 28.

Around 4pm that day, a man was assaulted in Dacre Road, resulting in superficial knife wounds to his lower back, He was also struck by a wheelbrace in the stomach, but was not injured.

About 90 minutes later, at the same location, the victim was again attacked, being shot at by an air weapon resulting in cuts to his nose and face.

Daniel Clarke is known to also have connections to Hailsham and Horam and police believe he may still be in the area. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting serial 862 of 30/01.
