According to the Met Office the temperatures in the city, already 28 degrees by 10am, will hit hit the heights of 31 degrees between 1pm and 3pm this afternoon, before reducing slowing to 24 degrees Celsius at 6pm.
Overnight temperatures are expected to hold at 19 degrees, reducing to 17 degrees at 4am.
Wednesday will be cooler with temperatures hitting 24 degrees.
