In photos: Storm Austen in Eastbourne with waves reaching over 14 metres

The storm was felt all over the country and caused problems with traffic and travel. The National Grid said engineers had restored power to more than 60,000 properties since Storm Austen began.

Eastbourne Police have still warned to be aware of weather conditions because winds still continue to be strong.
