The brewery confirmed its shop and taproom had to close on Friday and Saturday (October 23).

Bottled water was delivered to customers within the affected area.

A generator was used to power the site and restore water supplies, according to Southern Water.

In an update shared on Saturday (October 24) afternoon, a Southern Water spokesperson said: “Following restoration of power via the generator, operational teams completed a controlled restart of the treatment works to ensure supplies were restored safely and reliably. Reservoir levels recovered steadily overnight and continue to improve.

“We would like to thank customers for their patience and understanding throughout the incident. Our teams will continue to monitor reservoir recovery and network performance closely until normal operating conditions are fully restored.”

UK Power Networks has reported several outages in the area, with postcodes GU8, GU27, GU28 and GU29 among those impacted.
