A WORTHING mum has nicknamed her newborn baby "Little Lou" after she gave birth to her on the toilet.

Karly Hart's 6lb 3oz girl was born shortly after 7pm last Thursday at her parents' house in Homewood, Findon.

The 20-year-old from Shelley Road did not realise the birth was imminent and was sitting on the lavatory because it was

the only place she felt comfortable.

With little warning, the baby dropped out and landed in the toilet bowl, leaving Karly's shocked mum Sandi Hoy to retrieve her.

Karly said: "I was in a lot of pain but mum kept saying I had a while in labour. She's my first baby so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was surprised she came out so quickly.

"I was a bit worried when she fell in the toilet, but luckily she is fine and healthy which is the main thing."
