West Wittering incident: Injured person air-lifted to hospital after falling from horse

A person was airlifted to hospital from West Wittering beach yesterday morning after falling from a horse.

The ambulance service was called to reports a person had suffered a fall from a horse at Berry Beach Road, West Wittering, at just after 9.30am on Sunday.

Ambulance crews and the air ambulance service attended the scene, a spokesman confirmed.

The person was assessed and treated at the scene before being airlifted to St Richard’s Hospital.

The Selsey Coastguard also attended the incident.
