Whatlington

VILLAGE HALL: The Twilight Serenade on Saturday 28 May in aid of the village hall proved to be a delightful event. 85 guests enjoyed a sunny evening listening to the music of the Bodiam Concert Band. Gazebos, festoon lighting, picnics and a huge fire pit added to the ambiance of the evening which was seen as a great success by all . Village residents and their friends enjoyed the opportunity to meet up for a chat in delightful surroundings. A well supported raffle added to the fund raising efforts to improve the disabled access to the village hall. A big thank you to all those involved in organising the evening particularly Annette McBride and to the musicians from the Bodiam Concert Band. It is hoped to make this event a regular part of the Whatlington village calendar.
