Whatlington

Parish Assembly: The Whatlington Annual Parish Assembly takes place next Thursday, 19th March in the village hall at 7.00pm. This year’s speaker is the Secretary of Battle Ramblers, Mr Bev Marks, who will be giving a presentation on Ramblers’ involvement with local footpaths and rights of way and should be of interest to all who live in the parish.

Following this presentation there will be reports from our Parish Chairman - Councillor Fisher; District Councillor Vereker, County Councillor Field, Demi our PCSO- Sussex Police as well as reports covering all the past year’s activities from the Parochial Church Council, The Good Companions, the Village Hall Committee and the editor of the Village Newsletter. It is always interesting to hear all the activities that have been carried out by our village groups.

The March Parish Council meeting will follow the Parish Assembly.

The Royal Oak: Maria writes that there is a new theme for Friday nights at the Royal Oak: it is Steak on the Stone night, when rib-eye steaks are served sizzling on a hot lava stone, cooked at the table to your liking! This novelty is proving very popular.
